How it works

The SlimBody4Life Method is the unique integration of Breath and Movement based on ancient Eastern Techniques, that have been rediscovered and blended with Western Fitness Principles, to create a comprehensive exercise and aerobic conditioning system. All designed to provide you with a low intensity, low impact workout that will enhance fat burning whilst toning and shaping and activating your metabolism. You will also improve your flexibility and posture whilst improving your energy levels and general wellbeing.
 

 

Origins of SlimBody4Life

For thousands of years ancient Yogi’s and Shaman Monks have regulated their weight, body fat and general wellbeing through ancient breathing and exercise techniques. Elements of these ancient practices are evident in modern day Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong and some Martial Arts disciplines.


The breath was seen by these ancient practitioners as the link between the body and mind. It was used to cultivate energy within the body, whilst postures and visualisation were used to direct this energy to help energise and cleanse the body and calm and relax the mind whilst bringing about other beneficial changes in the mind and body.
The tenants of these ancient disciplines and their recognition of the power of oxygen and the importance of breathing have been synthesised and form core components of the SlimBody4Life Method. The SlimBody4Life Method has evolved these Eastern practices and incorporated modern Western Fitness Principles to create a unique combination of breath and movement to fully energise and oxygenate our bodies for improved fat burning, vitality and health.

How it works

The SlimBody4Life Method is designed to enhance our body’s fat burning properties through a unique combination of aerobic conditioning and toning and shaping exercises.

The SlimBody4Life Method is a form of aerobic exercise and aerobic exercise is any physical activity that increases your breathing — to draw more oxygen into your lungs — and increases your heart rate — to deliver more oxygen-rich blood to your working muscles where it is combined with both carbohydrates and fats to fuel our increased activity. Aerobic exercise thus helps burn fat simply because it demands oxygen, and fat only burns in its presence. The SlimBody4Life Method will ensure your body has optimal amounts of oxygen available to combine with fats to fuel your energy requirements. Further, the low to moderate intensity nature of the SlimBody4Life Method ensures that predominantly fat as opposed to carbohydrates is used as an energy source.

In addition, the toning and shaping nature of the SlimBody4Life Method movements and poses will increase your levels of lean muscle tissue and so the speed of your metabolism as your body demands more energy to support this new muscle. This will further help you to burn more calories/kilojoules and so fat even when at rest.

Beyond its fat burning properties, practicing the SlimBody4Life™ program has many other beneficial properties which relate to the fact that every cell in the body requires oxygen to sustain it and help it function efficiently. When we don’t get enough oxygen, we literally strangle our cells. Having our bodies charged with oxygen, as occurs in practicing the SlimBody4Life Method, we will enusure our bodies cells are functioning optimally whilst we help our bodies detoxify with a resultant increase in our vitality and overall health and well-being.
